We had a great V¡VA! Santa Fe - Opening Weekend
Over 20,000 people visited us for our Opening Weekend! Pictures will be posted shortly which captured the day.
The 400th Anniversary kick-off event launched the 16-month commemoration on Labor Day weekend at Ft. Marcy Park, Viva Santa Fe with a free cultural festival on Mager's Field followed by two evening concerts in the Ft. Marcy ballfield.
Event attendees experienced the sights, sounds and tastes of America's oldest capital city through interpretive demonstrations, storytelling, commemorative moments, interactive exhibits, chef food experiences, musical and dance productions, and culturally rich regional enterainment and heritage crafts. Art, music, dance and food workshops were offered daily and artisans were demonstrating their work and offered items for sale.
